Currently the Bank is seeking additional talent to serve in the role outlined below: Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Program Manager
The Position
In line with the Millennium Development Goals and ensuring sustainable development initiatives for our customers and our stakeholders, the job will entail leading and managing the implementation of Water and Sanitation Product Development and roll out including sensitization of our staff and customers on water and sanitation matters. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage implementation of work plan under donor funding arrangements
  • Asses and report on various programme pilot areas for water and sanitation loans
  • Ensure that minimum standards in construction, drilling, health promotion, water quality and other requirements for water and sanitation products are met
  • Oversee requisition requests and procurement of programme partners/market partners with whom MOUs will be developed among others to ensure quality standards are upheld
  • Oversee baseline, Knowledge, Attitude and Practice (KAP) survey and other technical surveys and feasibility studies that may be required during the development and roll out of these products
  • Ensure that donor reports are presented on time and to the required quality
  • Develop curriculum for bank customers: a module on Water and Sanitation and disseminate the core message of MDG 7 to ensure that beneficiaries have their capacity built
  • Organize periodic project review sessions where staff reflect on achievements and improvements
  • Maintain liaison with relevant ministries, boards and bodies in the Water and Sanitation sector
  • Lead in assessments and development of new project proposals and concept notes
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • University degree in Engineering (Civil or Water Engineering or Public Health) and/or Project Management or any other relevant discipline
  • MSc or Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management, Civil, Water Engineering/Water Resource Management or Public Health
  • Over 3 years continuous experience in the design, management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting of WASH projects and programmes in NGO, Government water and Sanitation Institutions, UN or commercial organizations
  • Practical experience in rolling out water and/or sanitation related interventions either for NGO or commercial purposes
  • Hands on experience in the design and implementation of water supply systems network, and other low-cost approaches in water supply and sanitation facilities
  • Proven experience in curriculum development
  • Proven experience in Training of Trainers
  • Experience in managing procurement and service contractors
  • Experience in developing Water Credit products and services for rural markets would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Millennium Development Goals and their relevance will be desirable

Senior House Officer (Resident Medical Officer)
1 Position Busia
5 Positions Kisumu
Overall Responsibility
The successful candidates will be responsible for providing consultations and quality clinical judgment to patients in Ambulatory and Emergency Medicine.
Requirements
  • MBBS from a recognized University
  • At least one- year working experience
  • Must be Registered/Licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
  • Competency in emergency procedures e.g. ACLS, ATLS etc will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent PR and communication skills.
Dental Surgeon
Overall Responsibility
The success candidate will be expected to set up and competently manage dental services in the Medical Centre at Kakamega in accordance with our quality policy which emphasizes continuous improvement of service to meet and exceed customer expectation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from a recognized University
  • Registration by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board
  • Current practicing License
  • At least two years experience after completing internship preferably in a hospital setting
  • Pleasant personality, team player.
Nurse
Overall Responsibility
Provide quality nursing services including performing necessary procedures at the Medical Centre.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (KRN/KRCHN) or above from an accredited School of Nursing or University.
  • At least one year experience in a Medical/Surgical setting in a busy medical institution.
  • Certificate in Theatre, Critical Care or Emergency Nursing will be an added advantage.
  • Valid Kenyan nursing practice license.
  • Excellent PR and communication skills.

Pharmaceutical Technologist
Overall Responsibilities
To provide quality Pharmacy services. He/she will be expected to be an active member of the health care team in the Medical Centre
Requirements
  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from KMTC or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Must be registered and licensed by the Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
  • At least one year working experience in a busy pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of computer packages will be an added advantage.
Laboratory Technologist
Overall Responsibilities
The successful candidate will prepare documentation, maintain sample processing records and ensure timely performance of laboratory investigations and dispatch of results.
He/she will maintain relevant equipment in terms of calibration and alignment and will be expected to comply with relevant policies and procedures including but not limited to those related to safety and infection control at the Medical Center in Busia.
Requirements
  • Higher National Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or above
  • Minimum three years working experience in a busy medical laboratory
  • Excellent knowledge of laboratory operations and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience in haematology, serology and quality control.
  • Ability to write and review SOP’s
  • Excellent computer skills and ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Knowledge and experience in ISO 15189 Standard is desirable
  • Ability to work in other laboratory sections whenever he/she is required
  • Registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board with a current practice license is mandatory
Marketing Manager
1 Position – Kisumu
Overall Responsibility
A management position, where the incumbent is responsible for; marketing hospital services, increasing revenues, managing business relations and ensuring timely advisory role to the Director Finance and Administration on the industry trends, business performance and growth prospects in line with the hospital’s mission.
Requirement
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or an equivalent
  • Post graduate qualification in Marketing desirable.
  • At least two years experience in a Service Industry.
  • Have three years hands on management experience in leading teams
  • Self motivation and ability to work without supervision.

Phlebotomist

Overall Responsibility
Reporting to the Laboratory Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the collection of blood samples and receiving specimens from in and out-patients, packing and shipping pathological specimen to relevant laboratories.
Requirements
  • Certificate in Phlebotomy or its equivalent.
  • Good written and verbal skills in both English and Kiswahili.
  • Good interpersonal relations and organizational skills.
  • At least one year working experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent skills in MS Office.
Front Office Cashier
1 Position – Busia
Overall Responsibility
The successful candidate will be responsible for financial transaction as per policies as well as working closely with Medical, Dental and Nursing staff to ensure smooth patient flow and cut down on waiting time while ensuring continuous provision of effective service to enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • CPA or equivalent
  • Excellent Skills in Ms Office suite
  • Certificate in front office operations or its equivalent will and added advantage.
  • Ability to relate to patient, through familiarity with medical terminology and triaging procedure.
  • Ability and willingness to treat all patients with the utmost kindness and consideration in the most trying situations.
  • One year working experience.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Kiswahili
  • Must have organizational skills
