  • Manage implementation of work plan under donor funding arrangements

  • Ensure that donor reports are presented on time and to the required quality
  • Develop curriculum for bank customers: a module on Water and Sanitation and disseminate the core message of MDG 7 to ensure that beneficiaries have their capacity built
  • Organize periodic project review sessions where staff reflect on achievements and improvements
  • Maintain liaison with relevant ministries, boards and bodies in the Water and Sanitation sector
  • Lead in assessments and development of new project proposals and concept notes
Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
  • University degree in Engineering (Civil or Water Engineering or Public Health) and/or Project Management or any other relevant discipline
  • MSc or Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management, Civil, Water Engineering/Water Resource Management or Public Health
  • Over 3 years continuous experience in the design, management, monitoring and evaluation, reporting of WASH projects and programmes in NGO, Government water and Sanitation Institutions, UN or commercial organizations
  • Practical experience in rolling out water and/or sanitation related interventions either for NGO or commercial purposes
  • Hands on experience in the design and implementation of water supply systems network, and other low-cost approaches in water supply and sanitation facilities
  • Proven experience in curriculum development
  • Proven experience in Training of Trainers
  • Experience in managing procurement and service contractors
  • Experience in developing Water Credit products and services for rural markets would be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Millennium Development Goals and their relevance will be desirable
