Program Officer Job Vacancy In Uganda Job Title:Programme Officer  World Food Programme (WFP) Description   Qualified female candidates are particularly encouraged to apply WFP has zero tolerance for discrimination and does not discriminate on the basis of HIV/AIDS status Job Title:DATA OFFICERS (8) This position will entail registering clients, compilation of client data and ensuring orderliness of the medical records unit; The data officer will be responsible for all data collected in preparation for data capture and entry. They will abstract and enter all data into the appropriate software in a timely manner. They will Participate in data analysis and compilation of the required site specific reports.  Key Responsibilities: • Capture MMC clients’ data as required. • Retrieve client charts as required • Ensure client charts and all related documents are securely field at the end of each day as required. • Provides clerical and data management support as required. • Abstract and input clerical data into the relevant system using appropriate software packages • Review data for accuracy and completeness • Participate in analysis and interpretation of data ‘ Ensure proper data storage in both soft and hard copies • Completes other related duties as assigned • Participates as a full member of the expanded AMAKA team Requirement:  Education and Experience: • Minimum requirement is a degree in Information technology, information systems, computer science, statistics or any other relevant field. • Two years working experience in data management in a health care setting. • Experience with data abstraction and management in a busy research health care setting will be an added advantage. • Highly proficient in Microsoft word, excel .access and power point  Knowledge. Skills and abilities: • Computer knowledge and skills • Knowledge of Health Information Management System • Knowledge of medical terminology • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams  How to apply:  Contract duration: For all the positions indicated above, the initial contract duration will be one year from the start date, but renewable based on funding availability.
